Welcome to the Framingham Earl Singers website. You will be able to find out more about the choir, our concert details and how to join the choir.
The choir was formed in September 1994 and we meet every
Monday evening during term time in the Music Room at Framingham Earl High School from 7.15pm-9.15pm. From January 2018 our conductor will be Jacob Swindells and our conductor will be Jo Richards. We are happy to see new members and we do not audition.
We perform a wide range of music from Brahms to The Beatles in a variety of venues. These include FEHS, The Castle Mall, numerous local churches – including weddings, village halls, private gardens and Norwich Cathedral.
Vaughan was our accompanist for 7 years and brought with him a unique skill to play whatever we asked of him. He was an immensely talented but gentle man who added a very special dimension to the choir. We will really miss him. 36 members of the choir sang at his funeral on 30th October 2015. This shows how much we all valued him.
We have a prepared repertoire of music that we can sing at weddings. Our fee for singing varies depending on what you require. We can sing to support congregational hymns, perform 2 or 3 pieces during the signing of the register and also offer additional music for 15 mins before the service begins.
If you require an organist we can sometimes arrange this too but there would be an extra charge which would be negotiated at the present Church of England or other denominational rates.
We are happy to sing at concerts and other events and prices will be negotiated on each individual request.
